Something that sets Playtime Paris Summer 2023 apart from other shows is the highly qualified visitors in attendance. In addition to their exclusive exhibition this season, the team from MilK Magazine perused the aisles in search of two brands to award their MilK Awards. A time honored tradition each season, we are always excited to see who stands out to them among the hundreds of amazing exhibitors. Without further delay, let us introduce you to the MilK Award winners from Playtime Paris Summer 2023!

 

Crush Award Winner — Momohanipopo

Playtime Paris Summer 2023

« My name is Hani Min, I am the founder and the designer of the brand Momohanipopo. Coming from a background in textiles, I put a lot of energy into the prints and patterns of the fabric. Momohanipopo was founded in 2020, with the goal to make each piece a work of art. Intense color play and unexpected pattern sizes on simple, relaxed silhouettes are what we do best. It’s what makes our pieces unique. MOMO, HANI, and POPO are the names of three imaginary kids with different personalities that I refer to when designing.

I am very pleased and feel honored to receive the Crush Award. As a young brand, it means a lot to know that the style and aesthetic of the brand has been understood and loved. This award charged my creative battery! Now, I’m so ready to create another collection with excitement. There are many more stories to tell with Momohanipopo. As I’ve done in past seasons, I will keep exploring and seeking new ideas. This way, more kids can wear my artistic collections. »

The Grand Prix Winner — Hänska

Playtime Paris Summer 2023

« I am Nora, a 37 year old mother of two. I started my business, Hänska, after the birth of my daughter, whilst studying fashion design in Berlin. Since then, it has taken many turns and changed direction, to finally find a niche in the children’s bag market. Throughout the changes, I have always designed the bags with all generations and genders in mind. As a designer and owner of a brand, I feel a great responsibility to only bring very thoughtfully designed products to this world; sourcing all materials as sustainably as possible and running the production locally, minimizing transportation and emissions.

I feel incredibly privileged and was not expecting to win the Grand Prix in the least! Playtime Paris Summer 2023 was my first season at a children’s trade show. The award gives me confirmation that my designs are appreciated and have a value and place on the market! Moving forward, I’m focused on staying fresh, curious and open to new projects and opportunities. I want to let Hänska flow into new directions. »
