SS22 - Conte d'Été, A Summer TaleEndless summer full of laughter and lightness in dreamy Provence countryside... taking time to just be and enjoy pleasures of simple things in life. Collection is taking inspiration from ideas from French New Wave (La Nouvelle Vague) cinema movement from the 1950s and 60s and the wistful ‘70s era of Jane Birkin’s St Tropez summer. The ideal was real life and absolute truthfulness and catching real moments and taking things slow. Joyful and elegant pieces of natural softness with poetic yet delicate and comforting organic materials. Vintage flower prints in organic muslin and natural linen, signature embroidery and lace, nostalgic ginghams, hand crochet detailing, sophisticated plaid with smock stitch in a fishnet style weave, fun tie-dye linen, playful terry cloth and bohemian knitwear are brought together by characteristic yet modern silhouettes. From cinema to the streets - iconic vichy from French region of Provence Vichy - the pattern makes important part of SS22 collection. Different sizes and colours are added to the woven and knitwear collection. Refreshing change of pace with new fabric developments - rustic organic cotton gauze, antique lace, waffle, jacquard and rib essentials.
