A Day In The Life Of Fanny Petit 
At each edition of Playtime Paris, we curate different spaces to display the latest kids’ fashion and lifestyle market trends. For this season’s Lifestyle Trend Space, we’ve once again invited the art director, scenographer, and decorator Fanny Petit to share her vision with us. She’ll bring to life the space with products from lifestyle and accessory brands exhibiting at the show. To get you ready to immerse yourself in her perspective, we’ve asked Fanny to share a bit of her daily life as a mother and lifestyle expert with us. As a bonus, she’ll even share what she’s dreaming up for the Lifestyle Trend Space at Playtime Fest!

“The day always begins with breakfast together. I love taking a moment to slow down before everyone heads off to their day. These simple moments remind me that inspiration often comes from everyday life: a conversation, a color, or a moment shared together. It’s in this gentle morning rhythm that my day begins.”
“Once breakfast is over, the children often like to spend some time in their room before heading out. I love hearing them invent stories, build entire worlds with a few wooden blocks, or flip through their favorite books. It’s their own little world.”
“When thinking of our favorite kid-friendly lunch spot, it’s Le Favori, without hesitation. This sandwich shop is owned by Marcel and Michel’s father, so naturally it’s a place that means a lot to us. We often stop by for lunch, or simply to say hello. And as soon as the sun comes out, the terrace becomes impossible to resist.”
“Next I head into a creative afternoon! I join the Playtime team at their office to work on this season’s Lifestyle Trend Space. Inspiration, colors, scenography… ideas are constantly evolving. I love this stage of the creative process, where we refine concepts and build on each other’s ideas.
For the space this season, I’ve imagined a mini disco party: a joyful, colorful, and slightly nostalgic space inspired by the energy of summer celebrations. A place where accessories become the stars of a lively setting, filled with light, playful colors, and a festive spirit.
Through a curation of accessories selected from different exhibitors, I chose objects that tell a story: a spontaneous celebration, a shared moment, a desire to play. Accessories designed to bring color, joy, and a little magic to everyday life.
More than a selection of accessories, I imagined this space as an invitation to celebrate the small moments of joy that brighten our daily lives.”
“After that, I love exploring Paris by bike with my children. I’m endlessly fascinated by colors, shopfronts, market stalls, and architectural details. And if there’s an ice cream shop along the way, we find it very hard to resist!”
“Following a busy day, it’s time for family dinner. Our winning dinner combination is soft-boiled eggs, butternut squash soup, and coconut milk tapioca. It may not be the most sophisticated menu, but it’s the one everyone agrees on.”
“At our house, bedtime means books and cuddles. Stories follow one another, the children often negotiate for one more page, and the lights always go out a little later than planned. It’s a simple ritual that the four of us love.”
“Once the children are asleep, I enjoy flipping through books and magazines. It’s also often the time when I work on my projects. I daydream, jot down ideas, and gather images that inspire me.”
