On a trip to Tokyo with OMAMImini

The LA-made brand upcoming SS19 collection is inspired by a recent trip to Japan.

OMAMImini’s SS19 collection centers around the contemporary eclectic aesthetic of Tokyo, presenting clean, relaxed silhouettes and an overall laid-back yet polished look.

Arriving in a palette of indigo, light blue, and grey, this collection was inspired by minimal and unassuming yet sophisticated everyday attire of Japanese mainstream street fashion.

Wearable and fun, it features washed chambray shirt dresses, linen blend windowpane trousers and oversized t-shirts with statement prints (you might need to know that すごい — means awesome).

Prints and patterns take cues from neatly packed street food, young Japanese school kids navigating complicated Tokyo public transport system independently, carrying their red “Randoseru” backpacks, and the iconic Hokusai’s Great Wave.

Black Label capsule for special occasions continues the same concept and can be easily mixed with more casual pieces or styled in matching ensembles for an upscale outfit. Women’s boxy tee dresses were added by popular demand to offer a “mommy & me” family look. These are not necessarily identical pieces but similar shapes, colors or prints.

OMAMImini is known for its sophisticated yet effortless kids clothing. "We cater to the most demanding and fashion-forward parents who are (just like us) looking for simplicity paired with an understated wow factor, whether they're shopping for their own closet or for their children's."

The brand will be at Playtime New-York this coming August 5-7, booth K12!
