Just like Stevie Wonder says in his song, we feel « Very superstitous » with Blå Clothing’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Presented at Playtime Paris last summer, their first collection is now out! Black cats, salt shakers, ladders and horseshoes decorate cotton t-shirts, sweatshirts, jumpsuits, shorts, leggings, and bibs. May it be good or bad luck, superstition will definitely be in the air next summer.
The brand was created by two friends Alba Luna Segura and Maria Palos, respectively fashion designer and specialist in communication and social media. Though they had both previously worked for adult fashion, when creating their brand they decided that children's world was funnier and more creative.
Unlike what the name of the brand might suggest, the brand was actually born in Barcelona. Blå means « blue » in Swedish, Norwegian and Danish which transcribes their Scandinavian inspiration. Bleu like the sea in Barcelona and blue like the colour that has traditionally been associated with boys and that girls are now claiming as well. Indeed, their clothes are unisex, defending the rights for children to be children, free and happy without barriers or prejudices. They promote children’s creativity and their freedom to experiment new things, get dirty an discover the world. The Spanish brand serves babies and kids up to 6 years old.
